Meet the Team:
Roz McKenzie, Ecologist and ER & Consultancy
Roz started her career in the trainee ranger programme and quickly moved into Ranger and then Biodiversity Ranger roles in Rotorua, Kaitaia and the West Coast. Her work experience in these roles included working on mainland and island weed eradication programmes, pest control and monitoring of possums, rats, rainbow lorikeets and Argentine ants, and involvement with species programmes including New Zealand fur seals, blue duck / whio and great spotted kiwi.
After several years working as a Biodiversity Ranger, Roz decided to complete a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology in order to better understand the theoretical basis behind biodiversity management.
In her spare time, Roz enjoys tramping, kayaking and spending time with her family.
